Description

It's all a matter of scale. Yesterday I posted this ship being constructed and you could hopefully get a sense of scale. Today it is dwarfed by this alien structure. I really like that sense of BIG. This is a BIG image, so please look at the full size to get a close look at the ship. You can see windows, which again gives the sense of scale to the building. Like yesterday, it's a homage to a great artist Michael Whelan. The title? This is my 500th post at Renderosity in the ten years since I joined. I'm nowhere near as prolific as I used to be, but maybe the quality has gone up a little. Anyway, it's been fun and I look forward to the next 500. As always, thanks for looking.

The textures are excellent and I love the global coloration and flatness of the image. If you did post work on this image, I would love to learn it because the result is really great!

Yeah, you know, it really does take the larger image to fully appreciate the scale of these structures. Fine work!
