This was the pamphlet our ship handled out to visitors when we went to Nagasaki, Japan. This is page one of the pamphlet. Only two Navy ships a year are allowed to dock in Nagasaki. Not sure why we were one of them. It was nice visiting a port where they did not just want your money. One night we walked into a bar with a red banner above the door. They would not let us stay. I just thought they did not like sailors. Many years later I was reading an article about the importance of a company training their people going overseas about the customs of the country. I found out that in Japan they do not rush the customers out when they close. They just hang a red banner over the door to tell people they are closed and the current customers can finish their drinks in peace. Enjoy! Thanks for all the previous comments, ratings and favorites.
