after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use, (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Ah memories. ") You can still use smooth polygons on your render settings, just turn them off of the things you don't want them on in the parameter settings. ") Snowed here, too. My Pit, Scarlet was trying to jump & bite all the flakes. Lol! ")

Very nice rendering Steve. Beautiful ladies and beautiful cars always a winner. The ground reflections are a nice touch.

This is GREAT!!! And I was getting the bloating thing too for a while...I think in that case you have to turn displacement maps off...At least that was what worked for me on a render I was working on.

nice work it looks fine to me but you might try using some texture preserving filter then resharpen the image that should get rid of the step artifacts

While I liked that movie for the cars (it sure wasn't for Cage's wooden acting) I still prefer "Bullit" if I want to see what a Mustang could do in it's day. Good looking car and driver, Steve, although I find the mirrored floor a little distracting. I think the new look of the pages explains what all the "MySQL" errors were about.

Really nice work. BTW, you can turn off Smooth Polygons for each object individually while leaving it on for everything else. The control is on the properties tab. (For characters you need to turn it off for each part.)

What a wonderful and classic render, Steve! This looks like it came right out of the pages of Life Magazine - only much better! I found that smooth polygons works really great on human figures, but on a lot of props it does some really weird things.
