Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive.  All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

nice story sequence glad it was fixed quickly. I had a run of three flat tires on my car in a month and it requires a special type of tire and in Germany they don't allow you use plugs you have to buy a new tire every time, gets rather expensive at 70-85 euros a pop. hope yours was cheaper.

wow Mike sorry to hear that, but at least you found the problem and got it solved! i awoke one morning and found my left rear tire was flat, took it to one place they said they couldn't fix it, too many punctures, then i took it to Wal-mart where i used to work and they said they could fix it but couldn't guarantee it, that's been 4 years ago, tire is still going strong! excellent capture and collage of the little culprit!:)*5

It doesn't take much to bust an inner tube!

For me, it is in fact time and again the worst case, if my tire is flat. It's almost as if someone had a leg amputated. In any case, you now have a real hot new slippers on it! Cool photos, so a small, evil corpus delicti!

Interesting Mike. I ride a bike for recreation and I keep having flat tires because of thorns or under inflation!

it is surprising how easy it is to get a flat.I did have a Toyota FJ Cruiser and I had about 5 flats in less than a year and one ruined the tire

Excellent documentary show here, Mike, and good to know it had a happy ending. Did your friend have any idea where these wires are coming from?

Clear explanation of the flat Mike.

Riding a bike is good in so many ways .. good for you and your health, good for the wallet, good for the ecology ... okay I ran out of thoughts! Think what it would have cost had it been a flat on a car! So you're back and mobile again! A very cool montage, well done on the cropping and resizing and all.

I did the same....that is ride 6 miles to work and 6 miles back home. It kept me in good condition and shape. I rode to work 4:30 am in the morning rain or shine. And during my days off, we would ride bikes to another town. And I also got flats running on to wires like this. Not sure where it came from but I think when the people work on the telephone wires or cables, they throw the cut pieces on the ground. I always carry a couple of spare tubes and patches and even at that is a risk too. Interesting subject... Aloha

When I rode a pushbike OH! The number of flat tires, often miles away from home.. I don't envy you Mike.. At least you got it repaired! Rob

You would really be scared to drive in my 55+ area these older people can't even see lol" Happy it turned out for you !~ interesting upload

Interesting, how a wire can bust a tire, definitely it's a problem in manufacturing, since you mentioned it happening often, but goo to hear you got your wheels again....
jocko500
I watch a 007 movie where his tires with flat and he just flip a switch and his tires was inflated again and he keep on driveing

Very sorry about your wheels. There was a time when I relied very heavily upon my bicycle as well. Losing it even for a few days (due to flats and other problems) would shrink my world considerably. It also made getting to work a little problematic.

At least you caught the culprit! Ha! Well I hope this is all fixed now my friend...my car has been in the shop for two days...hope to get her home this coming week...been one hell of a year so far I tell ya.
