Description

A few minutes ago, Etna gave the show. The lava fountains were hundreds of meters high. Now the explosive activity has calmed down, there is only the lava flow coming down towards the desert Valle del Bove. Sorry for the picture quality, but my camera cannot do better! Also sorry for my absence, but I have problems with the meniscus that prevents me from even stay too long sitting at the computer. I hope next week to get better. A big hug to you all and see you soon! :)

Wonderful capture and motif, Maria. I am sorry to have missed it for a few weeks. A very beautiful image, and also fascinating. I saw a film clip a few days ago, for the new big eruption at Etna. Amazing to see how burning stone liquid are thrown high up in the air. I hope and pray your knee will be better soon, so you can sit by the computer again. Hugs and best wishes Lars

Well, guess that answers my question about lava flows at night, doesn't it? Not familiar with your malady but sorry to hear that it is causing you hardship. Growing older isn't for sissies, is it?
