People use real fur for the same reason they use real diamonds, vanity. But, putting that aside there is nothing wrong with using fur. Animals are on earth for the use of humans as long as we manage that use responsibly. I'm not advocating torturing them but if there is a good use that will benefit us, while still maintaining the species then by all means lets use it.
