the title is a song by Christine McVie with Fleetwood Mac and a true fave of mine. she had a lovely voice. the title & lyrics has nothing to do with Adrie's father, just love the song and the title is based on the image. the father is called off to war, and he left her a little puppy to keep her company until he returns.
the image and emotions captured of this image are a dedi for my dear friend Adrie who has recently been being bashed by another artist here both in comment boxes and site mails. i saw a copy of what he wrote and that is mighty harsh, very! one thing i can't stand is another artist holding some grudge and just totally being rude to her and her work. i would hope the rendo staff would step in on this issue. with the words i heard, no wonder why our friend is so depressed, chit! i would. we love you dear Adrie, keep your spirts up and keep up your inspirational art my friend. it did me on this one.. lol Steve

Beautiful dedication to a very sweet and talented lady. I was afraid some troll had said something, when I saw Adrie had pulled comments on one of her images. I do hope she doesn't let some low life drive her away. I can't imagine anyone saying anything negative about her art or her! It's really shameful when small minded people can hide behind a keyboard and hurt others!

Fantastic image! Really lovely dedication! C'mon publish or send me his name , I love turning Trolls to stone. Sad to hear, its amazing how much damage can be done to a community by a couple of trolls stirring the pot. There motivation is generally to upset and distress you so laughing at them or ignoring them is generally the best recourse. Sometimes easier said then done though.

Very lovely composition for a super Artist and friend Steve. So sorry to hear another person is attacking a most talented Artist, They need to be permanently banned from the site.. I just wonder what their artwork is like I have found often these cowards don't have any of their own art on here when you go to their gallery and makes you wonder if they are an artist at all or just s S**t stirrer..

Very sweet artwork and dedication! I will never understand some people, I just don't get it, especially in a place like this. I guess petty jealousy can make one pathetic. This is for art and anyone who gives of themselves should be honored for that and not be the subject of ridicule. I hope the offender gets banned for life!
