Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love the subtle coloring and awesome atmospheric effects in this shot. Thanks for sharing.

I love your dune shots, especially the ones that make me think of tufts of camel hair, the longer camel hairs like eyelashes and such. I really like the warm colors in this and the grass itself is so inviting. I would love to hear the sound of it and even get the scent...that nice wild smell that you can only get around growing stuff. The sea and the mist in the distance add to the atmosphere. I love the feeling that this has, of being alone and content. This is such a relaxing photo...I think it's probably more a mood than an image, if that makes sense. I like this a LOT!

Lovely shot.

Beautiful dune grass in the sunshine; a winter shot? It has a kind of cold feel, as if the sun is trying to warm the chilly sea breeze but not making much headway. Wonderful capture!
