this is wonderful .. I thought the same as 'weesel', some edge detect work? it reminds me of what we did in art class eons ago when i was a child. We filled a sheet of paper with crayons in various colors, making sure that every square inch of the surface was covered in crayon. Then we painted over with heavy black paint, and then scratched out a drawing or design ..
