Description

Bryce7.1Pro/DazStudio/Photoshop Buildings are more of Stonemason's excellent City Greebles,all ships are my Bryce6 models created entirely from prims. Three fighter ships are textured using photos from CGTextures,other ships are modified Bryce material textures. Sky,light and atmo are all custom...sky used as IBL with sun enabled. Rendered in Premium with DOF,soft shadows,blurry reflections and transmissions selected. Postwork involved a levels adjustment,engine glows,signature and resizing. Great realism in this image. The dof and blur produced a great sense of heat distortion, altitude and dimension. I like it a lot.

I think I would have preferred this with the buildings in focus and motion blur on the aircraft. The structures are so intriguing; I would like to see the detail. Nice POV on this one, too.

I'm not so keen on the DOF here. Think I'd like it better if the buildings had been more in focus. On the other hand, if the ships had been up close and much larger in viewing size, I would have probably liked it better. Of course, I have to admit that I don't particularly like renders that have parts out of focus; although I don't mind it when blurred for a sense of speed. Not a criticism of your render so much as an expression of a personal preference.
