UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Beautiful image, The light has given the image a almost sepia hue , very appropriate for the title and the mood.

This is just wonderful! The very best possible sepia postcard it could be. Outstanding, Bill, and your information is great too.

The tones are spot on for a lovely pic Bill and a must zoom.

Lived in University Place for a year then went to ND to work. Ran into a couple of guys from Seattle there and we all agreed that a grey 60 degree day was better than anything we experienced in ND. This photo reminds me of that!

The sepia effect make's the image seem older which is perfect for the bridge,Terrific capture and great information

A stunning shot, Bill; it looks like it should grace a coffee table photography book! Well done!

I love your choice of sepia. Not sure why but I had the feeling of war when I looked at this image and am expecting soldiers to come marching across. Gorgeous work Bill.

A most beautiful POV and capture Bill! Love the sepia like tone to this!

Reminds me of the bridge across the Hudson River (I don't recall the name right now). These spans are so interesting and intricate. The sepia toning sure gives this photo an "old" feel to it. Considering your comments about pedestrians I assume this is for autos and people, not trains. Keep up the good work. I really appreciated the accompanying text. :-)

I like the old postcard feel, fabulous capture!! x

Great composition with that tree.

Well done, Bill. That bridge is photogenic from any angle and this is a superb angle. I like the postwork as well. Oh, and as you mentioned the Rogue Brewery Pub just down the road under the bridge is a Sea_ Dog approved watering hole.

Having tree where it is in frame... mixed opinions but still an overall great photo and the sepia works very well.

I agree with honey, this would be nice framed and on the wall Bill. Excellent work my friend.

Outstanding work. Very creative use of the subject as a backdrop for the tree. It has a wonderfully vintage feel.

An endlessness can be seen here, and what a great compo is on it. A great picture, Bill.

A really gorgeous shot, Bill! Built at a time when asthetics were a really important part of the construction industry.... They built things to last, and they built them to be pleasing to the eye. We seem to have lost that somewhere over the years.

excellent shot, beautiful bridge construction, wonderful tree!

Excellent... I like yours and your wife's image of the bridge...both are different..........somehow I really like looking at this bridge...if I lived there close to where the bridge is I would have to get a place with a view of the bridge... I just really like looking at it and all the different ways it has been captured on an image Hugs Susan~
