Description
A small tribute to Alvin Lee who's 11 minute rendition of I'm going home will live forever as one of the most amazing performances at the original Woodstock Music Festival.
Alvin died yesterday at the age of 68 after suffering complication from a routine surgery.
He produced 20 albums in his career and performed with such acts as Mick Fleetwood, George Harrison and Steve Winwood.
Known for his blazing riffs on his Gibson guitar, he was inspiration to a generation.

The very first concert I ever went to was Ten Years After at the Seattle Center Coliseum, he was phenomenal, as was the rest of the band. I have several of their albums in my collection and drag them out occasionally to float back in time. Great tribute, Seth, I hadn't heard this news... the world lost another great one.

Oh man, I hadn't heard that, damn man. One of my favorite R&R Guitarists ever, saw Alvin Lee and Ten Years after a couple times in the early 70s then again in 78 with an appropriately named Band "Ten Tears Later". The album A Space in Time is one of the greatest ever produced, dude I'm really bummed now...Awesome Tribute man Peace

I like the render but hate to hear this news. I saw Alvin and Ten Years After at the Tennessee Theater. Cool because the venue was set up for both live entertainment or movies so it wasn't very big and the stage was only like 6 inches off the floor. In between songs a young lady just walked up to him and gave him a big hug. The roadies were cool, they just led her off stage left while Alvin made kissing sounds. HAAA!! R.I.P. Mr. Lee.
