Description

Spotted this in Wadi Rum, despite the warmth of the morning, this flower wasn't keen to open! Technical stuff: It's an example of Desert Broom-rape (a member of the OROBANCHACEAE family). It's a parasite and takes its nutrients from a host plant, it doesn't have leaves and chlorophyll. Ok, you can wake up now! 8-) Moz.
