Every day there is a war... A war between the light and the darkness. Like most wars, this is one fought without the rest of the worlds knowledge, and the victims are people part alive and part dead. We can't see the dead because they choose to wear a happy-face mask to hide their true face, a sad face filled with sorrow... They hide their face because most people doesn't care, don't want to get involved or because they belive they are alone. People in pain... Their wounds were not made by any blade or bullet, but a merciless word. A word spoken with the only intention of hurting another person, and to push that someone over the edge and into the deep, dark abyss of doom. Maybe it was meant as a joke. Maybe it was meant to be fun. Maybe even it was meant to be provocative. Who knows... But the word that was spoken did more harm than the eye can see. Hitting just the right spot, it cracked a beautiful heart wide open, and someone died inside. Bleeding out in the darkness somewhere, a once happy person wish for death. Feeling hated by someone who simply not care... Why? Was there too much goodness in the world? Not enough evil? Why?? Every day there is someone out there praying to be accepted for who they are. Friday, march 8. A 13 year old girl in Europe throws herself in front of a train at a subway in Sweden. A father and a mother loose their child because of some words spoken to keep her silent. Maybe it is fear that drives her, who will ever know... The point of the story is quite simple really. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!! What ever intention you might have, you never know the impact of the might word. The punchline of a stupid joke may quickly turn into a smoking gun or a blooddripping knife, and before you know it lies a lifeless body on the ground. People have feelings, and not everybody is as strong as you might think. Mind your language, think about if it was you or someone close to you. As well as in real life, bullying and trash-talking people online does have consequences. I post this story today because Im tired now. Tired of the darkness that surrounds me, tired of broken hearts and spirits. I just want it all to stop... No more hate, pain and suffering. Its enough! Leave people alone in peace, and let them be who they are. Its not cool to hurt people in any way, in real life as well as on-line. This post is for all of them who have experienced being bullied out there. Its not cool to have your heart shattered into bits and pieces, and you all deserve better. You are living human beings with feelings, and you are not alone...
