Description
A member of the Southern Oregon Scottish Bagpipe Band, all of whom marched & performed in the parade. This band has been performing since 1931 (well, not the original members of course) & were very good. I thought this bagpiper's sunglasses looked a little strange with the traditional costume, which is one of the things I liked about this photo...

Lovely photo. I think the unkempt look about his face is way out of tune with his uniform.

A superb shot of a crusty character.

Shades do look out of place here, but I am ignoring them to see the true image :)

Oh my...that is no Chinaman, that's for sure! Excellent capture of this somewhat eclectic musician!

Your Chinese New Year Parade is a celebration of the New Year for all the diverse people and cultures, a truly wonderful way to bring is the New Year. Yea, I too, like the juxtaposition and/or dichotomy of the shades and the crowd. Last time I heard a bagpiper was at sundown on the road up to Edinburgh Castle a haunting melody heard in the wind.

I'm with Tara and very happy to see other ethnic groups in the Chinese New Year Parade!
