Description
You've just finished defeating evil, rescuing a king and his kingdom. What do you do now? (no, it's not Miller time!) Nothing left for you TO do but... DANCE!
Unfortunately, when the warriors began to dance the sky, which had been threatening all day, opened up and it began to rain. The longer they danced the harder it rained. Finally they had to stop and the monks rushed to roll up the thanka. The celebration was over.
Disappointed, we were forced to make an early day of it and went back to our hotel. One of our group, who most certainly will receive her reward in heaven, produced a bottle of Bhutanese whiskey and we spent the evening passing it around and telling dirty jokes. I will tell you that if your audience is buzzed it is much easier to get laughs.

Great capture Mark! Sometimes the Gods decide what will be seen and heard.... in this case, they were waiting to hear the jokes....

Hey, ANY time is Miller time! Sounds like they got their dances mixed up... instead of the "Celebration Dance" they summoned the Water Dragon by mistake! And in my experience, if everyone is buzzing then EVERYTHING is easier... well... except things that require hand-eye coordination, anyway...

All that they really needed, would have been some umbrellas, just like Gene Kelly did , in "Dancing in the Rain!" ;- )) fine capture of those ab-fab costumes and all'dem dancing feet ... BB

Somehow it reminds me of the Gary Larson cartoon where it's raining eggbeaters. :P I love the swirling motion. Wonderful shot!

Great image, captures the spirit of the dance. Not Miller time, but whiskey's time! (Buthanese whiskey?..."Keep dancing"...)
