Description
I wanted to get the new Luxus a real test, so I converted an old Reality scene that I had trouble rendering as a test. The biggest obstacle was converting the lighting which was "Skies of Reality"... I was able to load a light and convert it to an infinite light then load the HDR and I was back in business. I'm pretty pleased with the results, especially for the tool being a version 1 product and the only conversion done with materials was to change the cornea and tears to glass. The skin materials (based on HSS) converted very well as well as the other materials in the scene.

Lookin good! I've played with Luxus too and like the integrated approach. Still a few bugs yet, but very promising.

Would be nice if you and other PAs would revisit all your products and add a set of presets for materials that have the Luxus Setting in them. Luxus setting can save into the duf files. This would create renewed interest in your products as they would be Luxus Ready. Not to mention a nice bonus to your existing customers.

Unfortunately having do to four sets a materials for both Poser and DS, and my partners don't have Luxus, I don't see that happening. Sorry. Also my partners will strangle me if I suggest revisiting anything after spending last year updating all our male characters to M5. However the EHSS should give you a base to start with in order to tweak your materials. We have finally focused on releasing the characters we have planned last year when we did do our conversion for M5, so that's really where our focus needs to be in addition to learning different aspects of content creation to support our guys.
