Description

I own all the Metropolitan collection because Danae is on the cutting edge in realism when it comes to making skins for your characters. While the skins are designed for v4 characters, as you can see with the pictures I rendered, they work well in DAZ3d, especially for closeup where the details are nothing short of amazing. If you want realism in your renders.. buy it. One of the best benefits to these textures is the option of hair on the characters it works well with hats and added hair as long as the colors match Milan is good for brunettes and London is good to use with blondes. What happens is that it gives the wonderful appearance of roots, something lacking from every other character made. The setbacks to date are that the author hasnt designed any men or non-Caucasian characters. The make-up options are limited with all the characters and none of them have fingernail polish or colored eye shadow but as you can see, Ive added my own from other characters and it works nicely. In short.. buy these and then lets get Danae inspired to make more characters with more options. Keep up the great work.

That's like trying to "improve" the Mona Lisa. I bought my first texture from Danae in April of 2003, "Luyu for V2". For the time, it was amazing high res and realistic....and classically beautiful. I followed in August of 2003 with Jokasta for V3, and then ALL of her textures, lights, etc. I've never been disappointed and never felt anything needed to be added. It's almost a desecration to me, but I digress. Just wanted to voice my opinion and hope I didn't offend......

Personally, I love the details that Danae gives but I find myself always using other resources to compliment the characters to make up for the limitations, like lack of fingernail polish (none) and few choices in lip stick and make-up outside of a little mascara. I must agree that purely for the 'skin'.. Danae's products are my the most lifelike but I would like to see more options in the future.
