This is the original photo from yesterday's post. I like like the one from yesterday because of the contrast in the picture and the mood it creates. Tell me what you think.

I agree that this original portrays the subtle beauty of the highlands. Why mess with perfection?

I think by using grayscale the first image (yesterdays) evokes a timeless quality that well suits this Scottish landscape. Also whereas here the distance is rather faded, in the first image this has been transformed into a mistiness, again, it better represents the land.

I guess it depends on what you want to create. This one evokes a nice image, the last one evokes bleakness.
