Poor Medusa. That whole snake thing was a curse put upon her by Athena because she had the nerve to be raped by Poseidon. A fantastic image. Great angle on this. I hope they are able to repair the place.

I've seen this statue (or a similar one) before and still can't believe the smooth body of the holder of the head. Gruesome visual POV but still and excellent piece of work.
