Just another struggling artist with a passion for 3D computer graphics. I was first inspired by the works of Jean Giraud (a.k.a. Moebius) of "Heavy Metal" fame, hence the tribute in my online moniker. My 3D CGI tool of choice is LightWave, but I have recently started mucking about with digital photography. Other tools include Vue Infinite and DAZ|Studio. I also work in Photoshop and CorelDraw to cover the 2D graphics stuff.
I don't have too much patience for setting up final renders, because my interests lie in modeling. "Non-organic" modeling, or "hard surface" modeling, in the sci-fi genre to be specific. So the bulk of the images in my gallery are modeling WIP's and design studies, the rest are photos and a few quick sketches. I consider myself a hobbyist, because I am still at a level where my skills definitely need a lot more improvement.
I'm an architect by training, and work as Studio Manager for an architectural/interiors design office. I was born, raised and educated in the Philippines, but am currently based in Bangkok, Thailand where I live my wife, "Kanittha", our son "Nio" and our cat "Samuel".
Thank you very much for looking up my page.

This is image could easily be a scene for some sort of alien movie. The lights in the scene creates a fantastic mood. I especially like the first picture... Really spooky. Great textures to!

Moebius, this is brilliant. Awesome texturing and lighting!
DarkLimit
the is amazing stuff, lighting looks natural and texturing is not overpowering for such a scene..I would just make the light source above the door a bit more apperent/natural by adding a bulb or something.. Keep up the great work moe..
jtorgler
WOW! When is the movie going to be released? :)
kukri
Heh. To quote the Rocky Horror crowd "Where's the f---ing bathroom?" This scene is so realistic, you expect to find everything. Great stuff, as always!

Incredible...I am so stoked...

the dark procedural in the wall surface is too repeating. and its a bit too dark and dirty for my taste.
Love it, is so much better then anything i could do.

Leave's a little more to the imagination than my severed pee pee's doesn't it. Really some top knotch work here moe!
Svenart
Excellent! Reminds to the Screenshots from Doom3 (bloody, dirty, rusty, dark!!! Great texturing & lightning. One thing: The round lamps... there is no light under them on the wall!!! Great atmosphere!
petes
MOe, this looks great! Nice to see you delving into textures! Only comment would be that the pattern looks too even. Maybe try darkening up the areas that would collect dirt, like all the little details on the panels. Maybe some grungy moldy darkness on the bottom of the walls? Either way, fantastic work!
Moebius87
Thanks for all the comments and input. Robin - no procedurals, 100% seamless tiles, but it does tend to repeat itself a bit too much. Svenart - you caught me, used only luminosity settings and not a real light (that's why only 3-minute renders). petes - busted again, I have a seamless weathering diffusion map with a build up of grime at top and bottom that I didn't apply to this texture series. Careless of me. Will try again. :o) Thanks!
Guillermo
Great textures and great lighting! ;-)
Wolfspider
You know Moe, this would make for a great story....keep up the good work

Great work Moebius! The texture does seem to repeat itself, but with a name like Moebius... (-: I also think blood is a tad bit darker than that (at least, when it's dried. If it's still fresh it could be that color, I suppose.) Really ambient and creepy. Strong Doom/Aliens feel. Nice grit. Great work overall!

Beautiful work Moe :) (Now to frag my brother and sister in deathmatch... grrr.)

This is dreadful, really dreadful,I've never seen anything this bad before...it's the worst,my head is in my hands in total disbelief that an artist of your calabre would post a picture of what has obviously been a terrible massacre :-) Fantastic work as usual !!! And top marks as usual !!! 10++
Blooddoll
Ooooos and awwwwwws at the powers that be

wow....looks great. Of course being a mere 2D artist I don't appreciate the finer technical details but it looks great!
Ajax
Fabulous as always. With all that blood around, how about some blaster burns or bullet marks?
qwertykd
wow...this is really great. Did u say the render time for all four was three minutes a piece?...anywho, this is really cool, and it does look like a strawberry jam fight..(j/k) :)
jeweldragon
