This group performs several at least on a monthly basis throughout different locales here in the city. This series is taken at the Palace of Fine Arts. The Temple Of Poi is a school dedicated to supporting a community of individuals seeking greater understanding of them Selves through movement and flow arts. We are consciously creating an environment for exploring balance and harmony of mind, body and spirit through dance, meditation and performance while we inspire each other to evolve toward realizing Self in expression as flow artists. The school was founded in 2002 and began by teaching poi classes to beginning poi students. Later that year, intermediate poi classes were added to the roster as the demand for more skilled education increased. In 2003, the intermediate poi class roster was augmented with half a dozen other classes with specific focuses. In early 2004, Temple of Poi began offering Hoop and Staff classes as well to support the ever growing flow arts market.
