Description

"Castles Of Inquisition" *Way back in the late fourteenth century, there was The Black Plague. It raveged the land and for amusement, non-believers and heretics were tortured in a carnival like atmosphere, and it was guided by a powerful man who was feared by all and who held these people and had the power to rule over good and evil. This ruler was the Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition. His name was Takematta. This man had no compassion for people that disobeyed the inquisition, he gave no mercy to those that were condemned because they would not convert from their religion to what was 'The Religion of the True Church'. He forced the Jews to end their 'evil' ways and forced them to convert and believe in the true church. Many were tortured to death because they wouldn't change. Torture methods that were employed were aparatuses such as 'The Iron Maiden', they would strap them in devises that would hold them in certain positions, and they would smash their legs with giant mallet hammers as well as whipped and beat them also. All of this took place in the dungeons of castles such as what you see in this image. Even Nuns, considered the greatest believers and closer to the God of the true church were employed to try to just talk them into converting. Some did, but many would have absolutely nothing to do with it. These people had a very low chance of survival. Most of them as said above were tortured and killed. What a horrible time in this world that people had to endure, just because they believed in God a different way than what society deemed 'The Right Way'....sometimes it's as if it hasn't changed much since then about certain things... ...as usual, just my thoughts. A wonderful night scene. The water is so calm and the lights in the buildings make me want to know what everyone is doing. Well done.

Wonderful render and some very deep thoughts. Sad that history never really teaches us very much.
