Good Morning. :)))))) Did you sleep well? I slept like a baby. :))))))) Would you help me say Goodbye to Winter, and Hello to Spring. :)))))) Spring arrived at 7:02 this morning. :)))))))) I am so happy that today is the first day of Spring. It doesn't feel alot like Spring this morning. It is very cool out but my heart is warm. :)))))) They are calling for snow in our area tonite. Oh well it is Spring. :))))))))))) Sorry I haven't been here all that much lately I had another case of the winter blues, and did not want to bring my friends down. :)))))) My winter blues were lefted away yesterday. :))))))) Alecia and Miss Sophie came over and surprised us. :))))) Oh my goodness I love those two girls with my whole being. :))))) When they got here Alecia said that she would like to go to Lebanon,VA to get Sophie some new headbands bc the walmart here didn't have them. Miss Sophie is going to have her Spring pictures made this Saturday. :))) At first when alecia asked me to go I thought oh I dont want to, and then the next thing I knew I was ready and out the door us girls went. :)))))) I am so very thankful that I listened to God bc Alecia, Sophie and myself had the most sweetest time together. :)))))))) We talked, laughed, and enjoyed every minute with one another. :))))))) While at walmart I got to shop for Sophies Easter. :))))))))) I bought her three outfits and a doc mcstuffins lamb. :)))))) She kept the lamb rite with her the whole time we were in the store. :))))))))) We met alot of people that just fell in love with Sophie. I also seen a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in two years. She came out from behind her register and gave me that biggest hug ever. :))))) April it was so very sweet seeing you again. :))))))) She truely loved Sophie. :))))))) Alecia and I also noticed how nice and kind the people were at that walmart. :))))) Alecia and I have made plans to go up to Richlands where I was raised and take pictures. :))))) I am looking forward to another day with my girls. :)))) On our way back we stopped at taco bell. :))))) When we got back to our house Poppy held Sophie as Alecia and I began to eat. Where poppy was setting beside me Sophie stood up behind me, and said Nana then she patted me on the back. She stood up behind me and held onto my shirt the whole I was eating. She wanted what Nana was eating so I picked all of the cheese off of my tacos and fed it to her. She was a very happy girl. :)) When she is here or if we are going through the store she has her eyes on me the whole time. God thank you for a most sweet day and evening with my girls. :))))) Thank you for Alecia, Sophie, and Cody. :))))) My children and grand-daughter are my life. :))) When I went to bed last nite I talked to god and told him how thankful I am to him. :)))))) I should tell a little about this image. I shot this on Feb. 14th 2006 with my Konica Minolta Dimage Z2 camera. I bought the rose, and where it had snowed tha day I thought how pretty the rose would look laying upon the snow. :)))))) So this is my way of saying goodbye to winter and hello to spring. :))))) I should let you go so you can get your day started. :)))) I wish your day full of sweet happy surprises. :)))))) HAPPY SPRING to each. :)))))) I want to say thank you with all of my heart to all that looked, commented, and rated my last image. :)))))))) Carry A Sunshine Smile In Your Heart :)))))))

I love the elegant simplicity of this image. The snowy background is perfect for pulling out the colors of this blossom. Your use of light is superb, as usual, and I really like that you captured the wonderful texture of the snow itself. It's not just "pure white" it's far more interesting than that since it has so many wonderful and small details in it. And as for Spring! Yep. Winter was what it was, but I much prefer a season in which I can enjoy bugs coming out and posing for photographs.
