Description

I bought this for 50p at a car boot sale and it was a great smell. It was very difficult to find out anything about it but eventually I found this extract online from an out of print book:which now sells for £128 (!) "A wide-selling, low price perfume launched in 1995. Designed to evoke the spirit of the African continent, it contains apricot and plum, with rose, ylang-ylang and jasmine on a woody ambery and vanilla base. It was sold on the face of the model Jodie Kidd." See a much more colourful version Here

How exciting and what a find and bargain! - you lucky thing ... ... and the book, oh my that's a rarity - a real collectors item, by the sound of THAT price, but that is another story! BTW I just had to google Jodie Kidd, now I know ;) love the African cloth, so organic looking ... BB

Goes well with the basket and I prefer it to the colourful one that's OK but a bit distracting.

Ooooooo, like both versions! Been away for about a week or two, moving (house to motorhome), cleaning, stocking shelves, etc., etc., etc. Now we are twiddling thumbs waiting for bank papers to sign before hitting the road hopefully next week.

I like both. The fabric in the other one is the same as our table mats! Carin brought them over as a gift when she was here a couple years ago, and they're a delight to use. I like the basket too. Both excellent setups!

Very simple, very elegant. I'm thinking a small gourd topped by a copper bracer. Good choice of settings. I like this one slightly better.

A striking contrast of the solid container against the multipatterned mosaic of a floor mat(?), Andrea. But what is ylang-ylang? Sounds like something of a voodoo nature, possibly an aphrodisiac from Africa.

A pretty little bottle and I liked both backgrounds. I do favor the woven background on RR!
