Description

Few places are free from light pollution in the UK. The area around lake Vyrnwy is an exception. This 30 sec exposure shows the lake and Milky Way running left to right. Jupiter and the Pleiades are prominent in Taurus. The andromeda galaxy is visible above the glow from Bala, a small town 15 miles away. The bright line may be a satellite track.

That's amazing! Never been there at night - maybe we should next time we're there (we have a caravan near Bala at Llandderfel) ;-)

How did you do it that the stars didn't become stripes? Did you use an autotracking or a telescope?
