Description
Something a little different. After my last two posts, I was planning on another very similar one that included both the structure with barrels & a puddle from a little farther away. But I couldn't get the sky to look quite right. When I run into a road block like that, I usually start experimenting. Sometimes I'm able to salvage something worthwhile, but often I end up just abandoning a shot & moving on to another. I was almost ready to abandon this one, but when I started playing with the curves adjustment tool in Photoshop, I accidentally hit a point that turned the sky into a fiery storm. I made a few more adjustments & the result was this post-apocalyptic landscape. Appropriate, I think, given the possibly toxic (or not) barrels of waste. I enjoy incorporating accidents into my art & photography - it keeps things interesting & provides a nice surprise every once once in a while...

Cool pic, and good idea to incorporate accidents into your art and photography. I wonder how much great art in the world has happened "by accident." Quite a lot, I suspect. :) I'm glad you posted this. Wonderful work!
