Description

Buster is not getting my new stripey mohair sweater, that is for me! he doesn't need a coat, although he does like to snuggle in throws in the house. Ralphie, on the other hand, feels the cold very much, and has quite a wardrobe. I made this one which is lined with that quilted 'anorak' material, with a little pocket so that he can carry the poobags. He also has a raincoat and a lighter weight coat both bought from the greyhound rescue shop. No matter houw much he eats (and he is allowed as much as he wants, unlike fat sausage dog Fritz), his ribs always show. I cannot STAND those horrid people clothes that some folk dress their dogs in, BTW.!! We have however occasionally dressed up for comic dog show classes, I expect Rosie might look OK in a tutu.

He looks so dapper in that outfit. I know what you mean about those people and their poor pets (cats or dogs) and the clothing they are forced to wear

Ralphie, the fox killer, looks quite chic and ready to wow the ladies in that zebralike outfit, Andrea. At least you get your canines to pose for you.

Someone yesterday asked to see Ralph in a sweater and here he is! You take requests very well. So he carries his own poo bags? Now if you can get him to fill them then you might have a front page news story. He is such a snappy dresser. I wonder if he lords it over the other dogs?

Stylish! I particularly like the belt. It's functional, a nice detail, and festive without being gaudy.

Ralphie looks very smart. One of my pet hates is clothes for dogs, hate to see them dressed up. The owners say "oh they like to be dressed" NO THEY DON'T!!!!! Coats to keep warm & rain off are fine though.

Ralphie looks quite debonair in his coat, smug even, grins. Of all my dogs, only Murphy had coats for the winter and the cool days and nights by the campfire at the Hollow. He had a hoodie, and a warm winter coat which I found on sale dirt cheap and looks like a "bomber" jacket. That's the extent of my dressing up my dogs. The B-dog also has a jacket, he feels the cold as a result of Chronic Renal Failure. He hates it and only is forced to wear it when it is bitter outside.

Ralph looks very dapper in stripes and looks like a canine version of Hugh Hefner. I have always wondered if dogs bite people because people insist of dressing dogs in people outfits in the most outlandish colors.

I once got a secondhand purple child's tutu and photographed Sheela in it; she was fetching, but looked horribly confused about why she had to wear it. It was a one-off thing, just a whim. I have a hard time getting my little rat to even wear her leash harness now, even though I've got her a little pink rain mac since she hates the wet so much. She's afraid of the sound of the rubberized fabric, I think! Ralphie looks quite happy and very handsome in his fleece!
