Description

I took a photo of some logs submerged below the Applegate River because I liked the way they merged with the reflection of the trees on the shore. Obviously this was postworked extensively in Photoshop to intensify the color & give it an abstract look, but the basic forms were there in the original photo. I will be offline for a few days, hope everyone has a great weekend & a fine Easter Sunday if you celebrate that. And, of course, please zoom...

Now this is stunning, really! The reflections and the colours are just wildly beautiful here. I could gaze at this for hours on end! How delicate and beautiful… nature as its loveliest! Definitely very intense, yet delicate and gentle!

There's a song by Modest Mouse ... "all the people that you know floating in the river are logs" ... it doesn't make much sense, and it's not very "old hippie" of me to know it, but there you have it. Your picture brought a song to my mind. Aside from that oddness ... I love the composition and color and the way the reflection interacts with what's below. A beautiful result!

I like the separate colors regions and how the green subtly extends into the red and blue spaces – fantastic image !
