Description

After being in the "Real Soon Now" phase of development for the past 32 years, Smith Micro is pleased to announce that Poser has just been released for the Commodore VIC-20 platform! Poser 9 will be available as a cartridge with a built-in 16 KB memory expansion. In 3 months, Poser Pro 2012 will be released, and is expected to have a 24 KB memory expansion. DAZ is fully supporting the new release, and will begin offering content in a VIC-compatible format. For those who feel that downloading their content over a 300 baud modem is too slow, there is another choice. In addition to the "Burn to CD" option that DAZ has offered for years, DAZ is now offering "Burn to cassette tape" for a cost of $3 per megabyte. Although the preview window quality is limited, final output (rendered directly to a file) is identical to Windows and Mac versions of Poser. At least it should be... The developers are still waiting for their first render to finish. And remember, kids, it's only a lie if you actually expect someone to believe it. Happy April Fool's Day!

Woohoo! It looks like it's finally time to upgrade from the old TRS-80. I'm sure going to miss my green-screen... (but just look at all those colors!)

Sorry, no Amstrad 128 or TRS-80 ports are planned, but the Apple ][ version should be out Real Soon Now.

Haaa! Good April Fool's joke. I remember the Commodore Amiga. But, there were some very impressive software packages for the Commodore, InfiniD and Strata were two, before being ported to the PC and Mac environments. But, before these, I was on a PDP-12 lab computer full of trays with transistors and resistors. That was in 1971. My, computers have come a long way. Keep up the good work! :-)
