LOL...Mike and Allen!!!! Yes, my first thought was also Jimi. But I go in the nature ..... and pansy remind me of butterflies. And thus again to Jimi and the circle is complete. The pansy is the symbol of the free thinkers in France and Austria. It was in the Middle Ages the symbol of good (humanistic) thoughts. By the way .... class capture, Mark!

Did you know, that in German language, this cute little flower is actually called 'Stiefmuetterchen' ? well, it translates into 'Stepmother' - go figure!? I too can see the faces, like Andrea - maybe there is a connection? (like my strict and fierce stepmother - dead now) BB

Superb. I so rarely see members of the pansy family not pretending to be floral lions. I must say that I like their fierce expressions, but I like these mysterious, faceless ones too! The color is superb, and yeah...the title has Jimmi Hendrix stuck in my head too, but that's not a bad thing.
