Description

Bryce7.1Pro/Apophysis/Photoshop Scene created in Bryce7.1Pro...nebula created using three large spheres, skewed and stretched, with a modified Atmospheric Volumetric applied. Three radial lights create lighting for the scene(sun was turned off) as well as for the nebula. Planets are spheres with modified Seriously Real Materials applied, lower left planet has three layers(land, cloud and atmosphere).Postwork consisted of hand-painted stars, three Apophysis fractal overlays,a levels adjustment, signature, border and title, and resizing. Thanks for viewing and for any comments, they are much appreciated!

Nice picture! the blue sun in the middle could be a pulsar or a magnatar!!

Really like the surface textures on the RHS planet. I don't know my astro as well as I'd like, but I'm not sure the nebula would illuminate the two planets like it does here; a nearby star or something altogether more alien.

Astronomical correctness aside, this is an awesome image. All of the elements work very well.

As a note.the radial lights were used to add effect to the nebula, and provided the light source for the star in the centre.Perhaps my description was mis-leading(correctly pointed out by lhumungus, the nebula itself was not the light source). Thanks for all the comments...I appreciate them!

Interesting planets. Wish I could see the smallest one in a larger version--perhaps featured in an upcoming posting? Love what you did with the nebula too. While artistically pleasing in their placement, I suspect being that close to each other they would be tearing each other apart.
