I really like this picture. Reminds me of when I was about 3 years old. I always stared at a poster with a lot of animals when had to go to bed :)

Your techniques for shading and colorizing really speak volumes... and the eyes are somehow imploring... as if monarchy alone is not enough and there is a need to have us understand something more... majestic beyond words... :-)

Incredible... absolutely incredible. This image seems to affect me on a primal level. Looking into those eyes my own are drawn to what lies upon the lions brow. It looks to me like a symbol of power, a symbol of the ritual of respect this awesome creature has commanded throughout its existance. A masterpiece my friend, thank you for sharing this with us!
