Description

A wind pump in the middle of a dam of water - did it work too well? Now it is a nesting place for birds. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Clive

Looks like that windmill literally went south! Just goes to show you global warming is true!

They don't seem to mind their unorthodox condominium...what a strangely lovely shot!

What a marvel. I suppose you could say that it worked perfectly if the intention was to...um...create a lake? The nests are a nice touch. Birds are such marvels, as is this shot. I love the details and the overall mood. But perhaps this isn't a defunct windmill. Maybe the birds themselves built it in an attempt to disguise their nests to keep those pesky humans from noticing them. OK...maybe not. But still. Also, is there a third nest in this shot. Did someone decide to set up housekeeping amid the actual blades of this windmill? Or are my eyes beginning to show their age, not that they're that old, mind you, but they're not so young either! At any rate...WOW! I like this immensely.
