today i met RodS in person, at the Kansas City Photo Walk, we shared the whole time together and took some great captures, i just saw his latest post and his Dad had passed probably while Rod was on his way home, i feel so sad, i dedicate this image to him!:( jwildfire and twisted brush

Thank you so much, Rick! It was a great time this morning, and I'm glad to meet you in person! My dad would have been proud - he loved photography, and in better days he would have been right there with us. But I know he was there in spirit, as it was he who first got me interested in photography. Thank you for the dedication, buddy!

I've known Rod for years, haven't met him - I don't get out of state too often. I've only met face to face one person from here and that's jdhaven who comes and goes at renderosity. my only regret was I didn't have a picture taken of us side by side - I hope you got one, and I hope you post it. ...Very sad about Rod losing his Dad and earlier this week losing his Uncle - he got a double whammy. It''ll really change who you are and you carry on day after day and try and stay positive, but the shock finally wears off and then the grieving really starts.
