My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I simply love the place and as far as that goes the whole state of Utah. beautiful view of the park
Wolfenshire
The desert is beautiful, and one of the most delicate environments. Just one careless person driving their car on the desert can upset the ecology for thousands of years, if not tens of thousands. And my biggest pet peeve is people that pick up the desert tortoise, and then complain that it peed on them. No it didn't, you just killed it. That was it's water supply stored in the bottom of it's shell. Anyway, beautiful capture.

Head for Fin Canyon at the end of the road past the campground. There are places there you can hear your echo many time bounce off the walls! Spring sometimes can be quite nasty if it is hot and windy. You should leave with enough photos to post for quite some time!

Just magic. A spectacular image and a great advert for the place.

Such warm colors! I've always been amazed at how that particular neighborhood of Earth looks like any other planet but Earth, at least in terms of one's stereotype-based expectations. The Western USA is such an odd place, geologically, but a part of that is because it was once the floor of a sea! The colors are amazing here and I love that soft, ruddy look. This is quite spectacular. I need to travel again!

The soft look is appealing. This shot has a somber, almost ominous feel to it. Glad you're enjoying the spectacular landscape - I knew you would...
