Deep in the shady sadness of a vale Far sunken from the healthy breath of morn, Far from the fiery noon, and eve’s one star, Sat gray-hair’d Saturn, quiet as a stone, Still as the silence round about his lair; Forest on forest hung about his head Like cloud on cloud. No stir of air was there, Not so much life as on a summer’s day Robs not one light seed from the feather’d grass, But where the dead leaf fell, there did it rest.

Such a crisp, wholly-modern image! I love the near-surreal quality this has and the bizarre modern paradox of detached engagement this seems to illustrate. Quite interesting and it strikes me as a commentary that doesn't say what a common interpretation of it might imply, but oh, what a huge difference a single letter makes! This is brilliant.

An interesting piece of surrealism. The background reminds me very much of Magritte's famous Empire of Night. What does it mean? That we control our own lives & that we have the choice to make our reality humdrum & empty or vital & alive? That's what I see anyway...

I like the stark, plain brick and formica and neon with champagne and beautiful people. (Does wine taste different depending upon your surroundings and location?) Everyone in their own world, and all we can do is try to bridge the gaps.
