Description

Another one from the demonstration garden. I saw a pile of burlap bags strewn haphazardly on the ground & thought they would make an interesting abstract image... Please zoom

Had to sit back and think about this one for awhile.... visions of parts of the world this could be someone's bed or part of a makeshift house came into my head! But then again I kind of find it hard to believe it will be hanging on a wall in your house in a nice frame! Or...maybe it is just a good conversation piece? IDK! Good shot lol! Lots of texture , DOF and imagination!

For some reason, I see this photo enlarged, framed and selling for a surprising 6-figure price Very cool

This captures the real essence of what art is, especially after reading the other comments and getting a bead on other reactions of this piece. Art is concrete, though it can embody abstraction as well. For me this IS art simply because it's a way of seeing something and the shifting of a context. Burlap isn't art by itself, but it's art in the presence of someone who knows how to see it and to take delight in what burlap actually is, and yeah, a person able to do that SHOULD probably get at least be able to sell the piece for 4 digits before the decimal point. This piece is THAT good, I could see this commanding 6 figures as well. It's gorgeous, and so beautifully presented. The textures and the folds and the different thoughts this inspires are fantastic.

To Mike & Chip: Thanks for the positive feedback - if you find someone willing to pay 6 figures or 4 (or even 3), you can claim a 20% commission...
