Hi Guys...
I'm RGUS, a 3D artist from New Zealand hence the Kiwi Avatar.
I've been using Poser since 2004 and recently begun to use DAZ Studio.
Originally I used the render engines bundled with the base software and it was not until Octane was available did I change engines. I believe iRAY, now supplied with DAZ Studio, does a very good job. However, my development has stayed with Octane since I use both Poser and Studio with Octane for each as the main render engine.
Enjoy!

The clothing looks perfect, but is is worth the render time?

One suggestion, to make things more complex :) The "water" into the vial should be the "light" of a Silmaril, IE a strong white light source. Is it a challenge?

Very well done!

Nice work! A note about Octane, not all images require all 12000 samples its set to default to. Under the "kernel = pathtracing" submenu in the Settings tab, (I assume you are using the Poser plugin) is an adjustable option called "maxsamples" which by default is set to 12000. By reducing this to 6000 or even 1000, rendering time is greatly reduced. Depending on your scene, this may be all you need, but if your image is still a bit grainy, you can always increase the maxsamples bit by bit without restarting the render (so long as you do not make any further changes to the scene.) Judging from the lack of graininess in this picture after 40 minutes on an estimated 2:55 wait time, your maxsamples is probably unnecessarily high, and the final image would not have looked any different. Hope this helps! ;)

this doesn't look any different than the lighting/render style I'm use to from you.... I don't see a difference, but if you do, that's what matters.
