Description

Tried a combination of Fabis products to see how Octaned handle the textures... and well... apart from adjust a few opacity settings and changing edges the blackish... they worked very, very well. Thanks Fabi... you obviously knew Octane before the rest of us. Sorry to bore you all with this new render engine, but I quite likes it. This render said it wanted to go for 2:55 hours... nope... saved it after 40 mins. I wonder what the final image may have looked like. Thank you for letting me play. Deane

The clothing looks perfect, but is is worth the render time?

One suggestion, to make things more complex :) The "water" into the vial should be the "light" of a Silmaril, IE a strong white light source. Is it a challenge?

Nice work! A note about Octane, not all images require all 12000 samples its set to default to. Under the "kernel = pathtracing" submenu in the Settings tab, (I assume you are using the Poser plugin) is an adjustable option called "maxsamples" which by default is set to 12000. By reducing this to 6000 or even 1000, rendering time is greatly reduced. Depending on your scene, this may be all you need, but if your image is still a bit grainy, you can always increase the maxsamples bit by bit without restarting the render (so long as you do not make any further changes to the scene.) Judging from the lack of graininess in this picture after 40 minutes on an estimated 2:55 wait time, your maxsamples is probably unnecessarily high, and the final image would not have looked any different. Hope this helps! ;)

this doesn't look any different than the lighting/render style I'm use to from you.... I don't see a difference, but if you do, that's what matters.
