a very strong image, with that trunk coming down to the bottom like a big muscular ridge. Very strong. And you have luminous accents---the pinkish-yellow branches at the top (it's great that you included them), and the beautiful bright growths on the bottom of the trunk. (They look like fungus of some kind.) The trunk swirls as it goes down, like a big hairy arm; or a roll of thick, heavy carpeting. And while it dominates your image---in the center---you have all this fascinating stuff around it. You have a marvelous eye for drama and power in nature; and for its complexity: This is "just" a trunk, but it's a whole big world as well. And, if I understand it correctly, "tronco" can also mean "truncated, cut off" in Italian: So it has a deeper meaning. Your shot certainly captures the 'cut off' feeling of this beastly trunk. A beautiful, visceral shot.
