A very cool rendition of an interesting situation, Jock. They're not youngsters, that's for sure. Are they dancing in a living room, or some kind of social center?

this is my FAVORITE of all your paintings - I LOVE THIS STYLE - IT'S PERFECT FOR YOU AND LOOKS SO PROFESSIONAL - THIS IS THE TYPE OF ART YOU SHOULD DO. 1. It's important to have a woman, who helps at home, who cooks from time to time, cleans up and has a job. 2. It's important to have a woman, who can make you laugh. 3. It's important to have a woman, who you can trust and who doesn't lie to you. 4. It's important to have a woman, who is good in bed and who likes to be with you. 5. It's very, very important that these four women do not know each other.

Fantastic work Jock, I love this, and yes, you've gotten that sense of isolation across very well. Each person seems to be very into their own world, even the two dancing. Something about his back that suggests he might be dancing with her, but he's off in his own world. Wonderful stuff here Jock!

You did what you set out to do brilliantly. They all seem off in their own worlds and separate. The lady in the corner could be anywhere. In a doctor's office, at home alone, or at a bus stop. She is totally closed off from the world around her, and doesn't hear the music, or notice anyone. By the placement of her hand, I think she is reading a kindle or something like that. Perhaps she is waiting for someone to pick her up and one place is as good as another. The man sitting down seems very sad or apathetic. There is, in the droop of his shoulder, a feeling of someone just going through the motions of life without connecting. There is a similar feel to the man dancing. He is not looking at his partner. He has his eyes downcast and it probably not looking at anything. I get the feeling that he asked her to dance in desperation after many minutes of sitting across a table from her with neither of them speaking. She looks very stuck up indeed. I think she is looking around, but it is with a sharp gaze that finds fault with everything around her. I love the way you have painted the room. It has the air of a small, quiet place, that could be intimate if people were so inclined and yet they are not. I like the squares of light, from the window, mirror and door. It is a bright light that illuminates the separation and distance of the people. Your work is fantastic and so unique. I love this!
