I like this in b&w. It's got a nice sense of drama. I wish I were half so comfortable in front of the camera!

OH WOW! Andrea, you have your own beauty. You did a great job taking your own portrait. Love this black and white. Glad you dont hate to stand in front of a camera, like I do.

Fantastic although I think I prefer the colour version. Can I just say it's great that someone is brave enough to put themself in front of the camera! It's all to rare around here!

There are so many facets to you, Andrea, that I would never consider you black and white. This, however is an extremely strong image. Superb lighting. Very reminiscent of work by the masters of the early 20th century. The color one is good as well but this one has the impact.

Excellent mirrored b & w self portrait, Andrea, replete with everything skinwise, further enhanced by the stellar lighting effects. I would never have the courage to attempt this kind of self exposure.

Amazing self-portrait! I would never have the courage to do this, I can't even look at myself for very long! Rich and very well done, Andrea...

I like them both. Love those blue eyes and the depth in the B&W version!

I like the color version, however, I think the black and white is much more dramatic. I think also that it projects the aura of strength that you possess. A marvelous portrait.

You know those shots that make you look at them and go: "Now THAT is a portrait!" This shot did that for me. I love it. Black and white portraits are so incredibly rich and revealing in all of the most unexpected ways: raw black and white is fantastic, and digifiddled black and white (like they did for those Star Trek reboot posters back in 2009 just take things up to a hyper-detailed skin pore level) This is such a rich photo! I love the different textures: skin, hair, eyes. This looks like the kind of photo that would make me buy the book if this was the author photo. Feel free to do many more of these.

Fallen eyelashes... :) I will go with Rita that the B/W is more dramatic.

I like this better than the color version! Still laughing at the 'Iron Lady' comment. Those are the eyes that see so much! Nice work!

WOW, I was a little bit taken back at first, because this is so? what is the word, I am looking for? it is so 'honest', close-up and personal, but the longer I am staring at it, the more it is growing on me ... I never realized your hair was so short? - it has an impish sort of quality to it ;)) This portrait does appear rather dramatic or even poignant, if that is right word translation? A bit of 'Thatcher-rism' LOL BB
