Description

"Cardinal w/ Blue Eyes" I didn't know that Cardinals had blue eyes before taking this image. This proud bird frequently visits our back yard. I wish he and his mate would take a nest in one of our 22 trees. The natural lighting was perfect to see his eyes which are usually silhouetted. The Cardinal's perch was about 20ft. up in the tree. No post work other than cropping for size. Thanks for viewing my gallery and your comments. BTW: I tried to start a new 3-D render today. After an hour of detail work in Poser and Vue, I had trouble focusing on distant objects. I'm not sure how long it will take me to finish the new image, working at short intervals.

Wonderful shot. I never noticed blue eyes before, but it's so few times you see one around here, especially this close, that it's often difficult to tell.

Great DOF and a nicely handsome cardinal! They make the littlest "chirps" I've ever heard and like robins, they're signs of warmer weather. I had no idea that they had blue eyes! WOW.

My aunt Barbara loves Cardinals. I wish we had them around here more often I would be sending her pic's of them all the time! Rare to see one, but I have a couple times. I miss hearing the Whippoorwill bird. Every year growing up (across the road from my place now) I'd go out JUST to hear one). Not anymore, so sad.
