I'm back for another one, early in the morning. (I get so tired, still, and after any prolonged activity, I have to rest.) This won't be my last, but I wanted to do at least one of your chakra uploads before I left your gallery today. They're all sumptuous and filled with love, but I chose this one this morning because it's about my site-name-sake. Oddly, my meditative chakra is the one above---the throat (for the voice, music and words). But I chose the heart for my sitename because it's where everything passes through, the "place between two worlds". So it seemed fitting. The whole series is bursting with light; and this one has the cosmos bursting out of Rosanne's heart. And wonderful that she holds it in her hands---the real chakra is of course non physical, and the physical heart (say the yogis) comes 'out' of the actual chakra. But that's what you've pictured here: Her heart is flowing out from her chakra, and she's offering it to the world: The heart-as-offering is so basic, so central, and it's in everyone---I don't say that as doctrine, but because I've seen it over and over in life. If people could tap that power, oh my god... Then, all that nature is flowing around and out of her heart, vines and such. That's what the chakras are about, as the cosmos really comes out of them, rather than then being 'in the cosmos'. I probably have written this before, but in deep meditation the chakras appear to some as lights deep inside us; and we feel our bodies 'hanging on' to the chakras as fruits hang onto a vine. Our bodies come 'out' of the chakras, while the chakras contain all the secrets of the cosmos. Well, you've taken that light and externalized it and placed it in Rosanne's hands, and she offers it to the world. An Offering. Sacred offering. I can't tell if she's wading in primal waters or just if the greenery is engulfing 'her', but it's primal how she emerges from nature. And you have your characteristic purple, in the butterfly in her hair. Some mendicants would tell me of sitting in the forest, and when they reached deep states of peace, animals would gather around them. It was that simple; animals picked up the love, as they do in our lives (as pets). They're clear enough to feel it. That's what that butterfly does---well, all the butterflies; but that one and the two others below are actually standing on her. As they would be, in such a state of offering. Offering attracts, in other words. And that's what you've shown here. It's a beautiful, verdant and lush portrait. This series feels like an offering. And btw, there's an old legend that the elephant, when resting, contemplates all his lives; and we picture, in his mind, a pageant and cornucopia of the effulgent jungle of all life. In an old Buddhist scripture---again I may have shared this before---Buddha, after speaking, closes his eyes and all the buddhas of all ages appear in the cosmos, and all the enlightened appear in the cosmos (and the implication to some is that all will BE enlightened), and great lotus flowers fall to earth. The size of houses. And an onlooker says one of the great understatements in all scripture (something like), "I would never have believed it..." That kind of jungle of love is in all of us: I sense that in this series. Beautiful work. I'll be back another time. Deep vision here, Carol. Big radiant vision...
