The human figure is a great anchor in this composition and I love the iron oxide color the cliff has. Really nice. This is bleak, but not in a sad or "empty" way: just more like a brush stroke in Japanese calligraphy. I love it when photography does that. This is NOT a brush stroke, there's too much more than just one gesture in it, and yet it has that sort of elegant brevity that Japanese artwork tends to possess.

Just a coincidence, I've been looking for red clay dirt to make seed balls for farming. Since the sugarcane industry closed down, gates have been put up and not able to get the red clay dirt... And here you have a hill full of them...Grrrrr! lol. Nice shot. Aloha
