Description
Legends speak of a ruler who controls the world. He reigns from a hidden center somewhere on our planet. This is a story told by the Bon Po Lamas of Mongolia. Up till.now I considered it a myth until the tragedies that have plagued our world. The recent bombing at the Marathon has profoundly affected us here in Massachusetts. Many of us have friends running. So far they seem OK. But now we are confronted with more fear, and trying to explain it to each other. Monday my granddaughter was celebrating her 11th birthday and as she opened her gifts the news of the event broke through on the TV. Her face went from joy to sheer terror. They were going to go the local Mall for ice cream later on, but they chose to stay home out of FEAR! When will we ever learn that the King of Fear is not a myth? He is a living, breathing archetype of our deepest nightmares. Only when we collectively denounce his rule, will we be truly free. My deepest sympathy goes out to the innocents who have, once again, paid the ultimate price. I will not end this message will my usual enjoy! At this point ,in our history, there is very little to enjoy. May someday our houses will be safe from the tigers.

A wonderful strong image and you words are poignant with the breath of truth, understanding and compassion. It is the second time today I have heard reference to tigers, we want the lady but to do so the tigers must be faced, whether they are at the gate or outside the door. Thank you for this artwork and for your words.

A most excellent depiction of something that dwells inside many on this planet. There is no casting it out, for it is the nature of the beast, unfortunately that beast is us.

Splendid Fractal James, super work. The Monster lives inside each of us, most of us are able to contain it and keep it at bay. Those unwilling or unable to do this are the ones comitting these Heinous acts, it's a mental defect that only is appearent after the fact. Peace
