Description
Tried 30 different ways of trying to make this work and could never get the look I liked. Added men in the foreground and wyverns far off to give a sense of scale... but it still looks like a toy castle. But, all that dang work put into it - I might as well upload it - heh. A learning lesson. It probably needs atmosphere. Totally done in Poser

You might want to change the POV to ground level angled upward slightly... you'd probably loose sight of the lava, but it will give you a better sense of scale.

Good call - thanks Zaqxsw

I think it is the scale of the surface texture of the rocks which makes the castle look small... Maybe you could try and use a much more smaller rock detail look, and see if that helps? Also, DOF could give a bit more distance feel... A road / bridge to the entrance will also give a better perspective feel, hence a sense of scale... Just ideas, maybe some of them might help? :)

Very creative work. I don't think I'll make any plans to visit though.

Thanks Jean-Luc, GrandmaT and JohnDelaquiox ! Thanks for the advice, Jean-Luc. I did decrease the UV size of the textures... I could try even smaller perhaps. Yeah, DOF may do the trick! Hmm... maybe I could add a bridge or gate near the foreground like you say too. Thanks!
