My corporeal form lives with my wonderful wife and six eccentric cats in beautiful Sedgefield, but my dreaming body is frequently elsewhere, exploring the fractal universe and marveling at nature's chaos. I love traveling to places that exist only as mathematical constructs on my computer and bringing back snapshots that sometimes remind me of the real world (whatever that means), sometimes of metamagical worlds we can visit only in our imaginations. I trained as a biologist and run a small company specialising in science publishing - writing, editing, illustrating and typesetting. For 3D world building I use Vue, Daz Studio and Poser, but I've also used Bryce since version 2 and done some work with Terragen, Carrara and Groboto. For technical illustration I use mainly Illustrator and Photoshop.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of Renderosity, and to everyone who has kindly commented on my images or added my works as a favourite, thank you for that too. Craig.

Cool environment, good lighting, and a smart "fembot". Whats not to like. Good job.

Looks like even Cy290-BG needs a cup of coffee-like substance to make it through the day's work load. Well done

I love her demure smile, the oh-so-appropriate ankles-crossed-at-the-side pose. I'm sure she would never wear her skirt anywhere but at the knee (higher would be inappropriate, lower would be too trendy), and she would choose a white blouse with a ruffled neck or perhaps a nice bow. There's so much you can tell by a person's posture! Aside from all that, I'm glad to know she's there! I have a feeling her work will be invaluable to us in the future. :)

Wanted to do at least one more cyber-creature, and this was a ton of fun. When this went up, I thought the glyphs---on the right back wall? those are some of the glyphs, right?---well whatever they are, they're wonderfully hieroglyphic-like, with touches of Thai, Chinese characters, Runes, Native American glyphs, and some children's drawings. (There's even a little horse or deer in there.) I was also struck by the strong light/dark contrasts---chiaroscuro---and again the clarity within the shadows. Here again, human muscle and skeleton seem to provide the base for the code breaker's body-parts, which also act as shields. (It's gotta get a little breezy in there, with all those open spaces...) And I love the segmented feet, a mix of the foot's bones with some metal parts---like a shoe tree and foot skeleton had a kid! And she's on big Macs! I mean, I don't see the apples, but the new iMac looks like these. (Sorry, I have a Mac. If these are Windows or Linux, my apologies. I know they're not Atari's!) Not the warmest office for a person, but considering her makeup, she's probably right at home in that wonderfully dark cavern of an office. And you do the background hall w/ stairs---on the right---very well. I often envisioned a scene where someone is trapped with a skeleton in an ancient mausoleum, where he finally shouts, "what the f--- are you smiling at!" Based on the human skull, she has that smile. A delightful vision.
