My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

A spectacular landscape and superb panoramic capture. It looks like your journey is shaping up to be the trip of a lifetime. And since you are driving your motel you get to do it at bargain rates.

I had a designer friend who, when seeing sights like these, said, "isn't it amazing what they can do with plastic???" (That was his big 'nature' joke, lol, though he actually did appreciate nature, even if he tended to see it as "design"...) Lots of sweeping contrasts here, and I remember how light across huge Western formations could make them look almost artificial, in the way they stand out so stunningly against their backgrounds. Your layers here are in wonderful harmony; and including the dark clouds on top---looks like they're closer than the other clouds---gives a perfect frame, and explains why there's such shadow-play in this landscape. (Ie, because of the presence of storm clouds throughout.) Beautiful how the clouds appear as different versions of the mountains, as if there were two mountain ranges, not one. Even the foreground mimics the peaks...The image is varied, but also feels like a big sweep, a big single vision; and, tonally, it shines in all that dark like gentle diadems. Beautiful work once again. (And it would be wonderful large...)
